Key Responsibilities
·To undertake tasks in line with maintenance requisition requests.
·To conduct PPM tasks as required.
· Provide the most effective maintenance service possible thus maximising production output.
·Undertake On call duties as & when required by the Engineering rota.
·Ensure area of responsibility housekeeping is of a high standard.
·Complete engineering projects as assigned by management.
·Actively engage with suppliers to improve service levels and reduce costs.
·Ensure that all Quality Systems are followed.
What we need from You
·HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required (or equivalent).
·Experience gained over a period of 2+ years in FMCG and/or GMP environment.
·Knowledge of pneumatic circuits.
·Excellent fault-finding skills.
·Experience using electronic maintenance management systems (CMMS) would be an advantage.
·Electrical controls knowledge – plc’s, invertors etc would be advantageous.
·A strong understanding of Health and Safety processes.
·Experience of working within a COMAH site would be beneficial.
You will initially work on a weekly rotating shift pattern comprising day and back shifts during the onboarding and training period. Following successful completion of the settling-in period the role will transition to a 3 week rotating shift pattern that includes night shifts.
The shift rotation is as follows:
* Week 1 – Day Shift: 6am – 2pm
* Week 2 – Back Shift: 2pm – 10pm
* Week 3 – Night Shift: 10pm – 6am
Candidates must be flexible and willing to work all shift patterns as required.
After 3 months the company will contribute a % of your salary to the company pension scheme.
You will receive 28 days holidays, inclusive of the 8 statutory days of which 5 are fixed and you will get an additional day off for your birthday
