The Opportunity
An established and highly respected family-run automotive retailer is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join its busy Aftersales & Service department in Carlisle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician looking to join a supportive, professional team with strong manufacturer backing, ongoing training opportunities, and genuine career progression.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:15am - 5:00pm
Every other Saturday morning (rota basis): 8:15am - 12:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
Complete vehicle health checks and associated documentation accurately.
Identify faults efficiently using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with manufacturer and safety standards.
Work closely with Service Advisors to ensure excellent customer communication and service.
Support and mentor junior technicians where appropriate.
Contribute positively to a collaborative workshop environment.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Master or Senior Vehicle Technician level qualifications or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in a similar technician role, ideally within a franchised dealership environment.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
The ability to work independently and use initiative.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A customer-focused approach.
Good IT skills, including experience using workshop management systems and Microsoft Office.
A full UK driving licence.
