Person Specification
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1
* Strong knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum, including phonics and early maths
* Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
* Effective classroom management skills
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:
* Experience teaching in both Year 1 and Year 2
* Knowledge of phonics schemes
* Experience working in a job-share or part-time teaching role
* Understanding of assessment frameworks within KS1
Additional Information
* This is a 2.5-day per week position; working days may vary depending on staffing needs and will be agreed in advance
* The role may involve a job-share arrangement with another teacher
* Planning and handover time will be essential to ensure continuity of learning
