Lecturer – Plumbing & Gas

Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £26,514 – £46,307 per annum

We’re looking for a dedicated Lecturer – Plumbing & Gas to join a forward-thinking Further Education provider with a strong reputation for technical and vocational excellence.
You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging, inclusive teaching to Apprentices, helping learners build practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge that support long-term career success.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Deliver engaging Plumbing & Gas lessons to Apprentices and learners
• Develop learner-centred schemes of work and assessment strategies
• Track attendance, progress and achievement, implementing interventions where needed
• Provide constructive feedback that promotes learner independence and confidence
• Support learners with varying barriers to education in an inclusive environment
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and education practice
What We’re Looking For:
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
• Level 3 CAVA qualification
• Current Gas Safe Registration
• IQA Level 4 qualification desirable
• 3–5 years’ post-qualification industry experience
• Experience teaching Plumbing & Gas in Further Education, ideally Apprenticeships
• Strong organisational, communication and learner support skills
