How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

At Achieving for Children, we’re looking for a HRBP to help shape and support our workforce through an exciting period of transformation and reform.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, influence organisational change, and support managers across a wide range of people matters — all while helping improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

This role combines strategic workforce transformation with hands-on HR partnering and employee relations support.

    You will:

    • Lead and support workforce projects linked to national social work reforms
    • Partner with senior leaders to support organisational change and workforce planning
    • Provide expert HR advice across employee relations, change management and casework
    • Coach and support managers to confidently manage people matters
    • Analyse workforce data and trends to help inform business decisions
    • Work collaboratively with legal teams, unions and key stakeholders across the organisation

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both strategic project work and operational HR partnering.

    We’re looking for someone who:

    • Has strong HR generalist and employee relations experience
    • Is confident managing complex casework and advising managers
    • Has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Can build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation
    • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
    • Holds a CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience

Experience within local government, healthcare, social care or other regulated environments would be beneficial.

    Why join us?

At AfC, you’ll join a supportive and values-driven organisation that is committed to making a genuine difference for children and young people.

    We offer:

    • Flexible and hybrid working
    • A collaborative and inclusive culture
    • Opportunities to influence meaningful organisational change
    • Ongoing professional development and support
    • The chance to work as part of a forward-thinking HR function
    • Salary: £54,267
