How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Dispute Resolution Associate | 2+ PQE | Birmingham | Hybrid Working


    A highly regarded national law firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Commercial Dispute Resolution Associate to join its expanding Birmingham team, offering the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex and high-value disputes within a collaborative and fast-growing office.


    Since launching its Birmingham office, our client has continued to establish a strong presence within the regional market, offering lawyers the opportunity to combine high-quality national work with a genuinely collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, the team is now looking to appoint an ambitious 2+ PQE solicitor to support the expansion of its Commercial Disputes practice.


    The role will involve advising on a broad range of complex and high-value commercial disputes, including:


    • Contractual disputes

    • Shareholder and partnership disputes

    • Professional negligence claims

    • Business torts

    • Court litigation and ADR matters


    You will have the opportunity to manage your own matters with an appropriate level of autonomy, whilst also working closely alongside experienced Partners on more complex and strategic disputes.


    The team acts for a diverse client base across a range of sectors, offering excellent exposure to high-quality and intellectually stimulating work.


    The successful candidate will:


    • Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ years PQE

    • Have strong commercial litigation experience gained at a reputable firm

    • Demonstrate excellent drafting, analytical and client management skills

    • Be commercially minded and solutions focused

    • Enjoy business development and building long-term client relationships

    • Be ambitious, self-driven and keen to contribute to the continued growth of the Birmingham office


    Experience in areas such as restructuring & insolvency, fraud, arbitration, cross-border litigation or corporate litigation would also be advantageous, although not essential.
