How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Structured Finance Associate - London - Elite US Law Firm

We are working with an elite US law firm in London on an excellent opportunity for a Structured Finance Associate to join a highly regarded and growing finance practice.

This is a standout role for a 2-6 PQE lawyer who wants exposure to sophisticated, high-value and cross-border structured finance work across a broad range of products, asset classes and financing structures.

The team is looking for someone with a broad finance background and exposure to any of the following areas:

    • Structured finance

    • Securitisation

    • CLOs

    • Derivatives

    • Structured products

    • Structured credit

    • Asset-backed finance

    • Regulatory capital

    • Synthetic securitisation

    • Significant risk transfer

    • Fund finance

    • Capital markets

    • Leveraged finance

    • Private credit

    • Repackagings

    • Bespoke financing structures

You do not need to have covered all of these areas. The firm is very open to speaking with candidates who have strong technical finance experience and a genuine interest in building a broader structured finance practice.

    The role

You will be working with a market-leading team on complex and innovative transactions for a sophisticated client base, including global financial institutions, investment banks, asset managers, private credit funds, sponsors, arrangers, issuers and investors.

The work may include securitisations, CLOs, derivative transactions, structured credit products, asset-backed financings, capital relief trades, risk transfer transactions, repackagings, bespoke funding platforms and other complex cross-border financing arrangements.

This is an ideal opportunity for an associate who wants to move into a broader, more varied and more international structured finance role, with exposure to premium clients, elite partners and genuinely high-end transactional work.

    The ideal candidate

We are keen to speak with 2-6 PQE associates who have experience from a leading international law firm. You may currently sit in a structured finance, securitisation, derivatives, CLO, banking, capital markets, leveraged finance, fund finance, private credit or financial markets team.

The key requirement is a strong finance foundation, excellent drafting ability, commercial awareness and the appetite to work across a wider range of structured products and complex financing transactions.

    You should have:

    • 2-6 PQE in finance, structured finance or a related transactional practice

    • Exposure to derivatives, securitisation, CLOs or structured credit would be highly attractive

    • Strong drafting, transaction management and client-facing skills

    • Experience working with banks, funds, arrangers, issuers, sponsors or financial institutions

    • A genuine interest in complex financing structures and financial markets

    • The ability to manage workstreams on fast-moving, high-value transactions

    • A collaborative, ambitious and technically strong approach

    Why this opportunity stands out

    • Elite US law firm platform

    • London-based role with international deal flow

    • Broad structured finance practice rather than a narrow product silo

    • Exposure to securitisation, CLOs, derivatives and structured credit

    • High-quality clients and sophisticated transactions

    • Excellent partner access and training

    • Strong career progression

    • Top-of-market compensation

    • Opportunity to build a future-facing structured finance practice

This is a strong move for an ambitious associate who wants to broaden their finance skillset, work on complex and innovative transactions, and join one of the most respected US law firms in London.
