How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A boutique international law firm in the Cayman Islands is seeking an experienced and highly organised Corporate Legal Secretary to support its busy corporate and transactional practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys working closely with senior lawyers on sophisticated cross-border transactions.

This role offers the chance to join a dynamic international firm advising a global client base across corporate, finance, investment funds, and regulatory matters. Alongside exposure to high-quality cross-border transactions, the successful candidate will enjoy the lifestyle benefits of living in the Cayman Islands — including year-round sunshine, world-renowned beaches, and a vibrant international community.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, amend, and format corporate legal documentation and transactional materials
    • Assist with corporate transactions, closings, and related administrative processes
    • Draft correspondence, engagement letters, board resolutions, and legal documents
    • Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange appointments and travel
    • Prepare presentations, reports, and transaction structure charts using Microsoft PowerPoint
    • Produce spreadsheets, financial schedules, and data reports using Excel
    • Maintain document management systems and filing processes
    • Liaise professionally with clients, regulatory authorities, service providers, and internal teams
    • Support business development initiatives, client pitches, and fee proposals
    • Provide high-level executive and administrative support to senior lawyers and partners

    Requirements

    • Five plus years of experience as a Corporate Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant within a corporate or transactional legal environment
    • Strong understanding of corporate legal documentation and offshore transactional processes
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple deadlines effectively
    • Professional communication skills and a client-service-oriented approach
    • High level of discretion and confidentiality
    • Experience within an offshore law firm, financial services, or corporate environment is advantageous

    Package

    • Competitive salary package of US$75,000 – US$85,000
    • Relocation package provided in addition to salary
    • Opportunity to live and work in one of the world’s leading offshore financial centres
    • Excellent quality of life with sun all year round and stunning Caribbean beaches
