How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Head of Podcasts

    London (Hybrid)

We’re working with a content and media business entering a major new phase of investment across audio, video podcasts, and creator-led content.

They’re looking for a senior leader to shape and scale the overall podcast strategy across development, distribution, audience growth, monetisation, and long-term business expansion.

This is a highly visible role with significant ownership and the opportunity to build a modern multi-platform podcast operation focused on commercially scalable content and long-term audience engagement.

    The Role

You’ll oversee the broader podcast strategy across a growing portfolio of shows and formats, working across content, commercial, partnerships, distribution, operations, and growth.

The role sits at the intersection of audience, revenue and content strategy — requiring someone who understands how podcast businesses evolve across audio, video, social and emerging platforms.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve operational structure, expand monetisation, and shape the long-term direction of the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Leading the overall podcast and audio growth strategy

    • Driving audience growth and platform expansion across audio and video

    • Identifying new monetisation opportunities across partnerships, sponsorship, subscriptions and branded content

    • Overseeing podcast development, launch and distribution strategies

    • Working closely with content, production and commercial teams to scale output and performance

    • Building strong relationships across platforms, talent, partners and the wider audio ecosystem

    • Using audience data and performance insights to inform long-term strategy

    • Supporting the development of scalable operational processes and workflows

    • Identifying new market opportunities, partnerships and growth areas

    • Leading and mentoring teams across multiple disciplines

    What They’re Looking For

    • Senior leadership experience within podcasts, audio, digital media or content businesses

    • Strong understanding of modern podcast distribution, audience behaviour and monetisation models

    • Experience scaling content brands, podcast portfolios or multi-platform media businesses

    • Commercially minded with experience across partnerships, sponsorship or revenue growth

    • Strong understanding of the evolving relationship between podcasts, video and social platforms

    • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments

    • Strong stakeholder management and leadership experience

    Why It’s Interesting

    • Opportunity to shape the future direction of a growing content business

    • High level of ownership and strategic influence

    • Significant investment and long-term ambition behind the role

    • Ability to build scalable IP, audience and commercial growth strategies

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
