The Job
This is hands-on engineering in a live brewery where downtime isn't theoretical, it's expensive.
You'll be responsible for keeping production moving by maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical systems across a high-volume FMCG environment. When something fails, you'll diagnose it quickly, fix it properly, and make sure it fails less often next time.
You'll work as part of a skilled engineering team who know the plant inside out and take pride in keeping it running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing
Mechanical maintenance across pumps, valves, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and steam systems
Fault finding under pressure and restoring equipment back to full operation
Planned preventative maintenance to reduce repeat failures
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects across site
Working with production teams to reduce downtime and improve performance
Coaching operators and colleagues to improve basic maintenance awareness
What You'll Need
Time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
Relevant qualifications (BTEC, ONC, HNC or equivalent)
FMCG or fast-paced production environment experience
Strong mechanical background with exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, and steam systems
Ability to turn up, assess a problem, and get to root cause without guessing
Experience in bench fitting, general fabrication, TIG welding, or lathe work advantageous
Calm, methodical approach when everything is not calm or methodical
