Shifts: Perm Nights (Monday - Friday)
Salary: £47, 750 (Subject to increase in the near future)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our busy food manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime across a labour-intensive manufacturing environment, and have full autonomy as the permanent nights, electrical engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and site equipment.
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and performance.
* Maintain equipment.
* Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with food safety standards.
* Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
Skills & Experience:
* Time-served apprentice or recognised engineering qualification (Electrical Engineering preferred).
* Strong fault-finding skills on electrical systems, including PLC-controlled equipment.
* Experience within food, FMCG, or manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of motors, inverters, sensors, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Desirable:
* Experience with flow wrapping equipment, industrial ovens, and bulk material handling systems (silos).
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
* PLC fault-finding experience (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
