How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Graduate Behaviour Mentor - Reading
    Pay: £90.00 - £105.00 per day
    Start Date: ASAP

    Are you a graduate with a passion for supporting young people and promoting positive behaviour? Are you interested in gaining practical experience working with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support?

    A supportive and inclusive specialist school in Reading is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join their team as soon as possible. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for graduates considering careers in education, youth work, psychology, counselling, or social care.

    As a Graduate Behaviour Mentor, you will support pupils who may present with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs. You will help students develop emotional regulation skills, improve behaviour for learning, and build positive relationships within the school environment.

    This Graduate Behaviour Mentor role will involve:

    Providing 1:1 and small group behavioural support
    Assisting pupils with emotional regulation strategies
    Encouraging positive engagement in lessons and school activities
    Supporting pastoral and wellbeing initiatives
    Working closely with teachers and support staff
    ASAP start
    Reading location with strong transport connectionsThe successful Graduate Behaviour Mentor will be resilient, empathetic, and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is advantageous but not essential.
