Work Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in Office, 2 Remote
We are recruiting for a Cost Engineer to join the Integrated Project Controls team on a major UK nuclear new build project.
About the Role
You will support the Cost and Forecasting function, maintaining accurate cost data and providing essential reporting to enable successful project delivery on one of the UK’s largest and most complex construction programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and maintain accurate cost and forecast data aligned with CBS/WBS structures.
* Manage cost and forecast information within EcoSys and other project systems.
* Prepare periodic cost reports with variance analysis and performance commentary.
* Support the Trend & Change process, including risk and opportunity identification.
* Provide analytical support and clear insights to Senior Cost Engineers and project stakeholders.
* Assist with month-end reporting, accruals, and data validation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control processes and tools.
Essential Requirements
* Experience working in a project controls or cost engineering environment.
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to work with complex data sets.
* Good understanding of project cost management principles.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
Experience with EcoSys, SAP, or Power BI, and background in major construction or regulated industries.
