How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with Autism? Are you a Psychology Graduate, experienced Teaching Assistant, or Carer looking for a rewarding role?

    A fantastic Special Needs School in Swindon are seeking a dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as next week. In this role, you will work closely with one child who has a primary diagnosis of Autism, as well as other associated additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate or Teaching Assistant/Carer looking to further their experience with SEND.

    As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the student, helping them engage in classroom activities and develop their independence. You will help the student build positive relationships with other pupils, and aid them with both their verbal and non-verbal communication. Finally, you may also assist the class teacher and offer additional support to other pupils when needed.

    The school are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant who has a passion for supporting children with special educational needs. A recent graduate would be perfect for this role, with a relevant degree in Psychology, Criminology or Sociology. Any experience working with Autism would be beneficial, this could be professional or personal experience. Empathy and flexibility are also important skills!

    The school day runs from 8:30am to 3:15pm, and the school are looking for an Autism Teaching Assistant who can work full time, Monday to Friday.
