How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: Dependent on Experience

I am working with a successful and growing Primary School Trust in North London that is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll and Finance Officer to join its central finance team.

In this role, I am seeking a candidate who can confidently manage payroll and pension administration across our schools while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Trust.

    Key Responsibilities:

Processing monthly payroll and pension submissions accurately and on time.
Working closely with HR teams to maintain accurate employee and contractual records.
Ensuring statutory payroll deductions are correctly applied and compliant with legislation.
Administering pension enrolment, contributions, and returns.
Responding to payroll and pension queries from staff in a professional and timely manner.

Supporting finance operations, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payment systems.
    What I Am Looking For:

Previous payroll experience is essential, ideally within an education setting.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and positive approach to work.
In return, the Trust offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, opportunities for professional development, a generous pension scheme, and a range of staff wellbeing benefits.

Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
