How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Resolve Recruitment Services are searching for an experienced Mobile Mechanic to join a growing and dynamic team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic who enjoys working across multiple locations, offering variety and independence in their day-to-day role.

    Key Responsibilities
    – Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across multiple sites
    – Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
    – Specialise in cam belts, clutches, and general mechanical work
    – Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service

    Requirements
    – NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (essential)
    – Minimum 6 years’ experience (desirable)
    – Full UK driving licence
    – Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
    – Ability to work independently

    Salary & Benefits
    – £20 per hour (£41,600 per annum based on 40 hours)
    – £1,200 annual bonus
    – Overtime paid at time and a half
    – Salary reviewed every 12 months
    – Monthly pay (around the 1st of each month)
    – Company van provided (work use only)
    – Discounts on MOTs and parts

    Working Hours
    – Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
    – 40 hours per week
    – 30-minute unpaid lunch break
    – On-call rota: 1 week in 3 (paid per call-out)
    – Bank holidays worked on a rota basis (day in lieu provided)

    Additional Information
    – 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (April–March)
    – Company pension scheme (NEST)
    – Quarterly performance reviews, with a full annual appraisal
    – Notice period: 1 week during probation, 1 month thereafter
