How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Opportunity

    An opportunity for an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to join a growing construction business with a long and secure pipeline of work.

    This role would suit someone commercially minded who is comfortable pricing work end-to-end, engaging with the supply chain, and helping shape future workload. There is flexibility for an Estimator ready to step up, or an established Senior Estimator looking for more influence and less red tape.

    This is not a corporate environment, you’ll be working closely with the leadership and commercial team, with real input into how the business grows.

    The Role

    *

    Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction and roofing projects

    *

    Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation

    *

    Pricing works properly with a focus on margin, risk and deliverability

    *

    Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and assess quotations

    *

    Building and maintaining strong supply chain relationships

    *

    Supporting bid strategy and tender submissions

    *

    Assisting with workload planning and pipeline development

    *

    Working closely with the commercial and operational teams

    About You

    You’ll likely:

    *

    Have experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within construction

    *

    Have exposure to roofing projects (or be comfortable pricing them)

    *

    Be commercially astute and confident making pricing decisions

    *

    Understand how to balance competitiveness with profitability

    *

    Enjoy working in a growing, hands-on business rather than a corporate setup

    *

    Be comfortable taking ownership and influencing outcomes

    Key Requirements

    *

    Estimating experience within construction (roofing experience beneficial)

    *

    Strong commercial awareness

    *

    Ability to engage confidently with subcontractors and suppliers

    *

    Comfortable managing multiple tenders and deadlines

    *

    Good working knowledge of estimating processes and tools
