How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Up to £28.10ph PAYE / UP to £38.50ph via Umbrella contract

We’re looking for an experienced EHS Supervisor to join a well-established engineering environment at a time when the team is managing a high and complex workload across multiple priorities.

This is a broad, hands-on EHS role where you’ll take ownership of Environmental, Health & Safety activity across site operations — supporting compliance, driving best practice, and playing a key role in developing a strong and sustainable safety culture.

    What you’ll be doing

    * Identifying workplace hazards and implementing effective control measures

    * Managing and supporting the site risk assessment programme

    * Delivering and maintaining the EHS training plan

    * Auditing compliance against company standards and legal requirements

    * Monitoring EHS performance trends and reporting findings to management

    * Leading or supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis

    * Supporting safety culture initiatives and behavioural safety improvements

    * Contributing to environmental and sustainability practices on site

    * Ensuring accurate EHS reporting, documentation, and governance

    About you

We’re looking for a confident and experienced EHS professional who can step into a busy environment and make an immediate impact.

    Essential requirements:

    * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (or degree-level H&S qualification)

    * Minimum 5 years’ EHS experience

    * Strong experience in engineering or manufacturing environments

    * Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations

    * Experience producing clear, professional EHS documentation and reporting

    * Strong understanding of EHS compliance and regulatory requirements

    Desirable:

    * Experience with Power BI or data-driven reporting tools

    * Additional safety certifications (e.g. working at height, confined spaces)

    * Exposure to industrial hygiene or health surveillance programmes

    Why apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EHS professional who enjoys variety, responsibility, and the chance to influence safety culture across a complex engineering site. You’ll be stepping into a role where your experience will be valued from day one, and where you can make a visible impact on both compliance and behavioural safety standards.

To apply, please submit a copy of your up to date CV clearly indicating your relevant experience. Applicants must have an existing right to work in the UK and evidence of eligibility will be required. Suitable candidates will be contacted.

The above represents a summary of the contract assignment. A full description of this contract assignment is available. A full explanation of this rate and all deductions will be explained in a key information document (KID) supplied to registered candidates
