How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Engineer
    Desford, Leicestershire
    £53,375
    Mon – Thurs Nights – 37.5 Hours a week (9pm – 7am M/T/W, 9pm – 6:30am Thurs)

    We are partnering with a globally recognised manufacturer in the construction industry recruiting for 2 multi skilled maintenance engineers (Either mechanical or electrical bias) to join their well established maintenance team of 7 night shift engineers in Desford.

    Annually our client has turnover well in excess of £50bn, and has a proven track record of reinvesting profits into it’s staff and facilities which is reflected in their excellent retention rate across all staff

    This role is based within our assembly plant which has recently been refurbished and renovated with state of the art technology and facilities.

    The Successful Engineer

    Maintenance Engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias with a minimum of 4 years experience within industrial maintenance
    Ideally, from a fastpaced manufacturing environment, however applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
    Controls experience would be beneficial but not a dealbreaker
    Attitude and willingness to apply yourself to a given task
