How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our client, a leading electrical wholesaler with a dynamic presence across the UK, is seeking a dedicated and experienced External Sales Executive. This growing company is renowned for its commitment to career progression and promoting from within, offering an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to sales within a B2B environment. The position involves travelling to client sites, delivering compelling sales pitches, and negotiating favourable terms to meet organisational targets.

    As an External Sales Executive, your key responsibilities will include:

    * Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers

    * Identifying sales opportunities and effectively presenting product solutions to clients

    * Meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives

    * Understand competitor activities and industry trends

    * Providing exceptional customer service and support

    * Preparing sales reports and forecasts.

    Requirements :

    Applicants must have strong field sales experience within the electrical wholesale industry ideally or a similar trade sales industry.

    * Proven experience in B2B sales or external sales roles with a track record of achieving targets

    * Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively

    * Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly for client meetings and events

    * Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

    * Proficiency in IT tools such as CRM software, MS Office suite, and other relevant programmes

    * Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple clients and tasks

    * Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions

    * Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage professionally at all levels of an organisation

    Salary depending on experience up to cirrca £45k +
