How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys design authority, work‑package leadership and hands‑on problem solving, while also mentoring others and influencing project direction.

    The Role

You will lead and deliver robust mechanical design solutions across R&D, R&T and product development programmes. Working within a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment, you will take ownership of complex work packages, ensuring designs meet performance, manufacturing, cost and weight targets while complying with rigorous aerospace standards.

You’ll work closely with stress, thermal, validation, industrialisation, quality and supply chain teams, providing technical leadership and design assurance from concept through to product maturity.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the development of mechanical design solutions for electromechanical and power generation products

    * Own and deliver engineering work packages, ensuring technical robustness, schedule adherence and cost targets

    * Create, review and approve 3D CAD models, drawings and bills of materials in line with company standards

    * Produce and review design assurance documentation, including calculations, reports, test procedures and analyses

    * Support design investigations, root‑cause analysis and risk reduction activities to mature products and concepts

    * Act as a technical authority, supporting design reviews and approving solutions produced by other engineers

    * Interface across disciplines including mechanical, stress, thermal, V&V, industrialisation, configuration and quality

    * Provide technical guidance, mentoring and informal leadership to engineers within the project team

    * Support project reporting, milestone delivery and KPI achievement

    Profile

    * Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

    * Strong experience delivering mechanical design work packages in a regulated engineering environment

    * Proven background in rotating machinery (shafts, bearings, seals, housings, structures)

    * Solid understanding of engineering materials and manufacturing methods

    * Substantial experience using 3D CAD tools for electromechanical design

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills

    * Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver work under tight project deadlines

    Desirable:

    * Experience with high‑speed motors or power generation systems

    * Familiarity with CATIA or NX, PLM systems (Teamcenter/Windchill), SAP or MS Project

    * Basic knowledge of mechatronics or electronics

    * Experience working with external engineering suppliers and reviewing outsourced deliverables
