We are currently recruiting for a Yards Person to join our Aberdeen operation.
This role plays a key part in maintaining safe, efficient and well-organised yard operations, supporting both internal teams and wider business objectives.
Please note that Current RTITB (or equivalent) Counterbalance Forklift Certificate (B1) is essential for this role.
Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies:
* Secondary school education
* Current RTITB (or equivalent) Counterbalance Forklift Certificate (B1)
* Previous experience in a similar yard, stores, or logistics-based role
* Experience working within a Safety Management System
* Ability to work strictly to procedures, standards, and safe systems of work
* Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders
* Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
* Good organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
* Literate and numerate
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work
* Strong HSE awareness and commitment to safe working practices
Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies:
* Additional FLT categories and experience (particularly B2, M1, M3, F1)
* Experience working to ISO 9001 quality standards
* Knowledge of the Hydrasun product range
* Previous experience supporting wider stores or logistics teams
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Maintaining yard areas to a safe, tidy, and organised standard at all times
* Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
* Ensuring goods are stored correctly to prevent damage or injury
* Chocking drums and ensuring safe stacking of pallets in line with size and weight requirements
* Ensuring open drums of hose are appropriately protected or shrink-wrapped
* Supporting the Stores Supervisory Team in meeting operational objectives
* Performing general and ad-hoc stores duties as required
* Working in accordance with Hydrasun’s HSE Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS)
* Providing holiday and absence cover within other departments when required
* Working overtime where necessary to meet organisational or client deadlines
