How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Work with the project manager to help deliver projects on time and within cost.
Use the Engineering Change Note process to manage design releases and modifications.
Develop and execute test plans to validate designs and analyse results.
Support prototype and first-off testing, writing reports and capturing findings.
Assist the quality team with investigations and help identify improvements to design and assembly.
Liaise with procurement to ensure parts and items meet specification, providing technical support where needed. What We’re Looking For

An enthusiasm for mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Understanding of basic mechanical principles, including static and dynamic calculations.
Familiarity with mechanisms, sheet metal, extrusions, injection moulding, castings, and machining.
CAD knowledge, ideally CREO 10.0 or above.
Understanding of ERP/MRP systems would be beneficial.
Awareness of root cause analysis, material selection, DFM, DFA, stress analysis, and FEA.
Knowledge of tolerancing, both linear and geometric.
Good Microsoft Office skills, including report writing, presentations, and Excel.
Interest in marine product certification requirements would be an advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.To find out more please contact Max Sinclair (url removed) or apply directly
