How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Procurement Manager | Weston-super-Mare

    The Company

Green Frog Connect is helping power the UK’s transition to a cleaner, greener energy future.

We work on exciting renewable energy and infrastructure projects that connect new sources of power to the electricity grid, helping businesses and communities move towards a zero-carbon future.

From early design through to construction and final delivery, our team manages complex projects that play a vital role in supporting the UK’s energy network. We have built a strong reputation for delivering challenging schemes within tight timescales, making us a trusted partner for clients across the renewable energy and energy storage sectors.

As demand for clean energy continues to grow, so do we. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued investment in the sector, this is an exciting time to join Green Frog Connect and be part of a business that is making a real impact.

    The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our expanding team.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Procurement Manager will take ownership of procurement strategy and delivery across Green Frog Connect’s infrastructure and EPC projects. The role will work closely with project, design, commercial and finance teams to ensure the efficient, timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment and subcontract services.

This is a key role within the business, supporting project delivery, improving procurement processes, managing supplier performance and helping to strengthen our supply chain as the company continues to grow.

    Main Duties

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading procurement activity across multiple projects, including:

    * Developing and managing procurement strategies to support project delivery, cost control and business growth.

    * Leading the sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment and subcontract services from tender through to delivery.

    * Managing supplier relationships, framework agreements and long-term supply arrangements.

    * Negotiating commercial terms, pricing and contract conditions to secure best value and reduce commercial risk.

    * Supporting project planning with accurate procurement lead times, delivery schedules and supplier updates.

    * Working closely with project teams to identify procurement risks and implement mitigation plans to avoid delays.

    * Monitoring procurement performance, supplier performance and spend against project budgets.

    * Supporting forecasting, cost reporting and cashflow planning in collaboration with the Commercial and Finance teams.

    * Reviewing and improving procurement systems, procedures and reporting processes.

    * Supporting sustainable, ethical and responsible sourcing practices across the supply chain.

    * Providing guidance and support to colleagues involved in purchasing and procurement activity.

The Individual – Skills and Attributes

    * Commercially astute with a strong understanding of supply chain management, cost control, contract negotiation and procurement risk.

    * Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.

    * Confident managing suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders across multiple projects.

    * Organised and proactive with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to procurement.

    * Able to work effectively in a fast-paced project delivery environment.

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to support decision-making.

    * Experienced in improving procurement processes, systems and reporting.

    * Committed to sustainable and responsible sourcing practices.

    * Comfortable taking ownership of procurement strategy while remaining hands-on when required.

    Qualifications and Experience

    * CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent preferred, or working towards.

    * Relevant degree or vocational qualification, such as ONC, HNC, BTEC or NVQ Level 3, in supply chain, business, engineering or a related discipline.

    * Demonstrable experience in a procurement, purchasing or supply chain management role, ideally within the construction, engineering, utilities, renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.

    * Proven experience managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms and supporting project-based procurement.

    * Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Excel and procurement systems.

    * Experience managing or supporting procurement processes across multiple live projects would be advantageous.
