How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Company Description

Assystem is an international company with one mission: accelerate the energy transition around the world.

Every day, our 6,500 switchers located in 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Pacific Asia & Africa) connect their six thousand billion neurons to tackle the task of the century: switching to low-carbon energy.

We are a collective committed to the actors who are making the energy switch. Sharing our knowledge, expertise and values allows us to innovate and think differently about the energy transition.

Drawing on more than 55 years' experience in highly regulated sectors subject to strict security and safety requirements, we provide our customers with engineering and project management services, as well as digital services and solutions to optimize the performance of complex infrastructure projects throughout their life cycle. The Group is currently ranked second in the world for nuclear engineering.

To ensure a viable, efficient, and reliable energy future for all

    Job Description

This is a site based role, with candidates considered within commutable distance of Bridgwater or open to supported relocation.

Support manufacturing activities across piping and support package delivery
Coordinate technical engineering support for project management activities regularly
Maintain trackers for support releases, holds and manufacturing progress
Manage engineering changes following design handover and manufacturing updates
Coordinate Technical Queries and chair stakeholder resolution meetings regularly
Ensure contract management systems accurately reflect technical query progress
Support constructability reviews during early engineering and design phases
Provide technical input supporting handover and commissioning delivery milestones
Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction stakeholders daily
Support manufacturing leads with technical coordination and delivery activities

    Qualifications

🛠️ Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

We also recognise that the perfect candidate rarely exists. If you feel you meet around 80% of the criteria and are motivated to develop further, we would strongly encourage you to apply.

Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction or related discipline
Experience within manufacturing, construction or engineering project environments
Understanding of piping systems or support manufacturing activities
Experience managing technical queries and engineering change processes
Familiarity with stakeholder coordination across complex engineering projects
Knowledge of CDM regulations and safe engineering delivery practices
Experience using CEMAR, Teamcenter or similar management platforms
Familiarity with PDMS, Navisworks or equivalent software tools
