Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Oversee all on-site operations for the fit-out works across two floors.
Deliver the project within programme, budget, and specification.
Coordinate sequencing of trades to ensure efficient workflows and minimal disruption.
Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
Site Management
Manage subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to required standards.
Conduct daily site briefings and toolbox talks.
Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to the Project Manager.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Health & Safety
Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and company H&S policies.
Carry out regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Maintain site documentation including RAMS, permits, and safety records.
Act as the main point of contact for all H&S matters on site.
Quality Control
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes.
Conduct inspections and snagging throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all finishes meet client expectations and industry standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary site contact for the client and consultants.
Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress.
Manage expectations and resolve issues proactively.
Programme & Cost Control
Assist in developing and maintaining the construction programme.
Identify potential delays and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor labour and material usage to ensure cost efficiency.
Requirements & Experience
Essential
Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out projects.
Experience managing projects in the £200k–£1m range.
Strong understanding of multi-floor fit-out logistics.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
CSCS card (Black or Gold).
First Aid at Work certification.
Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and H&S requirements.
Desirable
Experience working in Cambridge or similar city environments.
Background in office, retail, or education fit-outs.
Temporary works or fire marshal training.

Contract Details
Rate: Approximately £300–£350 per day (dependent on experience)
