How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate Quantity Surveyor - Hove - Multidisciplinary Consultancy

    Arise Recruit is proud to be partnering with a dynamic and growing independent construction consultancy in Hove to appoint a talented Quantity Surveyor. Suitable candidates can be Intermediate, Senior or Associate Level.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality Cost Management, Project Management, CDM and Building Surveying services across a diverse portfolio of projects.

    The business is continuing to grow and is looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to play a key role within the Cost Management team, working closely with clients across the South East.

    The Role

    As a Quantity Surveyor, you will offer clients a range of services including;

    *

    Feasibility studies and development appraisal

    *

    Cost planning and estimating

    *

    Value engineering

    *

    Tender evaluation and negotiation

    *

    Contract administration, variations and valuations

    *

    Final account negotiation

    *

    Bank monitoring

    Candidates at Senior and Associate Quantity Surveyor level will work with the Directors and take on some responsibility for mentoring and management of the team. Employees are also rewarded for business development and fee generation for the team.

    Requirements

    *

    Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or surveying practice

    *

    MRICS qualified or currently working towards chartership

    *

    Strong understanding of cost management and contract administration

    *

    Knowledge of JCT and ideally NEC contracts

    *

    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
