About the Role

Connex Education is recruiting passionate ECTs and experienced PE Teachers for opportunities starting in September 2026.

We are currently supporting a number of friendly and inclusive secondary schools across Bristol, with roles available on both a short-term and long-term basis from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and inspiring PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Teach a broad PE curriculum, including practical activities, fitness, and team sports
Adapt teaching and learning activities to support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
Create a positive and purposeful learning environment that promotes teamwork, resilience, and good behaviour
Use effective coaching, demonstrations, and differentiated activities to make PE lessons accessible and engaging
Assess progress, provide constructive feedback, and support pupil development in PE
Build positive working relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to promote learning and wellbeing
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, although strong secondary teaching experience in PE will also be considered
A passionate and engaging teaching style with confidence in delivering PE lessons
Strong subject knowledge across the PE curriculum
Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the classroom
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education
