Are you a graduate with a passion for education and a desire to become a qualified teacher?
Teaching Personnel Liverpool is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive mainstream secondary school to recruit a Future Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity that offers a structured pathway into teaching through a SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training) programme, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for aspiring teachers who want to gain hands-on classroom experience while training. You will begin by supporting teaching and learning across your subject area, gradually building your skills before enrolling onto a SCITT programme with QTS awarded at the completion.
You will:
Support students in lessons across KS3 and KS4
Deliver small group interventions and assist with classroom management
Work closely with experienced teachers and mentors
Build your confidence and teaching practice ahead of formal training
Transition onto a SCITT programme with a clear route into a permanent teaching role
What We’re Looking For
A degree in a relevant subject (2:2 or above preferred)
A genuine interest in becoming a secondary school teacher
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach
Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
