How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Account Handler – Bedford, Bedfordshire
    Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + Highly competitive benefits package

    Due to continued organic growth, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join our expanding Bedford team. We are an established, market‑leading independent insurance broker — this is an excellent chance to join a forward‑thinking, purpose‑driven business and progress your career.

    What we’re looking for

    * Proven experience working within Commercial Insurance is essential

    * Ideally you will hold a CII qualification — or be fully committed to studying towards one

    * Strong attention to detail, compliance awareness, and a client‑focused approach

    * Excellent communication and relationship building skills

    The Role

    Your main focus will be managing our existing commercial client portfolio — securing renewals, maximising revenue, and improving profitability, while ensuring every aspect of your work fully meets FCA regulatory requirements.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Secure renewals by reviewing and re‑broking policies, to deliver the most suitable, cost‑effective cover for clients

    * Support the account executives as required

    * Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships, providing expert advice and guidance

    * Deliver accurate, efficient administration and communications with clients and insurers

    * Ensure all activity complies with FCA regulations, company policies, and industry best practice

    * Consistently deliver outstanding customer service and uphold high service standards

    * Meet all reporting obligations and achieve agreed KPIs — always in line with regulatory requirements

    * Maintain accurate, fully compliant records and files in line with company standards
