How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you an experienced driver looking for a role that offers more than just time on the road? Transition into a fulfilling career as a Patient Transport Driver, where your driving skills and a passion for helping others come together in a role that truly makes a difference.

Our Client OnCue Transport are recruiting NEPTS contractor drivers to fulfil the high demand for patient transport in the NHS.

In this role, you’ll support patients who need safe, reliable transportation to medical appointments, ensuring comfort and security along the way. The ideal candidate will have a valid Enhanced DBS certificate issued within 6-months. Full training will be provided at no cost to yourself, preparing you for a role that goes beyond driving and makes a real difference in people’s lives.

Why This Role is Perfect for Experienced Drivers:

    * Driving with Purpose: This role is ideal for professional drivers who want to take their skills beyond transportation. You’ll be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from their medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.

    * Care at the Core: While driving is an essential part of the job, this role is deeply rooted in patient care. You’ll be trained to provide compassionate support, ensuring that each patient feels cared for and safe during their transport.

    * High Earning Potential: As a self-employed Patient Transport Driver, you’ll enjoy increased flexibility while benefiting from high earning potential. Patient transport is in high demand, ensuring a steady flow of work.

    * Work with a Leading Provider: Join OnCue Transport, a rapidly growing provider of non-emergency patient transport services for NHS Trusts and Ambulance providers, and be part of a team dedicated to delivering care through transportation.

    Who We’re Looking For:

    * Experienced Drivers: If you have experience as a professional driver (e.g., taxi, delivery, or bus driving), your skills can transfer smoothly to this role, which combines safe driving with compassionate care.

    * Licensed to Drive: Must have held a UK Manual Driving License for at least 3 years, with no more than 3 points on your licence.

    * Empathetic and Caring: A genuine desire to support others is essential in this role, where you’ll work with patients who may be vulnerable or in need of reassurance.

    * Strong Communicators: Ability to clearly and kindly communicate with patients, creating a calm and supportive environment.

    * Physically Able: This role involves assisting patients with mobility, requiring a reasonable level of physical fitness.

This is a great opportunity to make a difference and learn new skills.

Ready to bring purpose to your driving career? Apply now and start your journey as a Patient Transport Driver, where every mile makes a difference
