How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £163 – £238.18 per day (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

    About the Role

    The role of a Primary Supply Teacher is dynamic, rewarding, and flexible. You will:

    Deliver engaging lessons in a variety of local schools
    Work with pre-set plans (though occasionally bring your own resources)
    Benefit from the support of some of Cambridgeshire’s top schools
    Work between the hours of 8:30am and 3:30pm only
    Choose the days you work – from 1 to 5 days a week
    Whether you're seeking short-term supply, long-term placements, or something more permanent – part-time or full-time – we’ll help you find the perfect fit.

    Requirements

    To be considered for this role, you must have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant UK-recognised teaching qualification
    Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
    Availability of at least 1 day per week
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
    All successful applicants will be subject to our thorough vetting process, including enhanced DBS checks (registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one).
