A supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Crystal Palace is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision on a full-time basis from 2nd June.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a dedicated special needs unit supporting pupils across mixed age groups with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will be supporting a pupil who is a runner and can present with challenging behaviour, so prior SEN experience and confidence managing behaviour are essential for this role.
The school has a strong inclusion ethos and an experienced SEN team in place, providing structure, guidance, and ongoing support for staff.

The Role Will Involve:
Supporting pupils with a range of SEN across mixed age groups
Providing targeted support for a pupil with challenging behaviour
Managing behaviours linked to running and emotional regulation
Supporting communication, engagement, and access to learning
Working closely with teachers and support staff to implement consistent strategies
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
Be confident managing challenging behaviour and supporting pupils who may abscond/run
Demonstrate a calm, patient, and resilient approach
Be proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team
Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresThis role is ideal for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact within a supportive specialist setting.
