How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of our Kidlington-based client for an LGV Class 1 Driver / Installation Operative to join their growing team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a unique and varied role offering nationwide travel, excellent earning potential, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after a successful qualifying period.

This role would particularly suit candidates with experience in timber delivery, car transporters, plant movement, or similar physically demanding transport and installation roles.

You will work as part of a two-person crew delivering, installing, and dismantling specialist temporary trackway systems, pedestrian walkways, marquee flooring, and matting for major events, film and television productions, festivals, and other high-profile projects across the UK.

This role requires a high level of hard work, dedication, flexibility, and commitment to working away from home for extended periods. In return, you’ll enjoy a rewarding and satisfying role where no two days are ever the same, working as part of a close-knit and committed team that is well rewarded with excellent rates of pay and overtime opportunities.

The role is mainly Monday to Friday, however, flexibility is essential as weekend working will be required during busy periods, always in compliance with EU Drivers’ Hours and Working Time regulations. The position will also involve regular nights out, working away from home for a week at a time, and sometime multiple consecutive weeks away depending on project requirements.
