How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Economics Teacher – Secondary School

    Full-Time | Permanent

    We are seeking an ambitious and inspiring Economics Teacher to join a successful and supportive secondary school in Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to teach motivated students across Key Stages 4 and 5 and contribute to a thriving Humanities or Business faculty.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will:

    Deliver high-quality Economics lessons that engage and challenge students.
    Teach Economics at GCSE and A-Level (or equivalent).
    Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
    Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
    Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
    Participate fully in the wider life of the school community.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Has a degree in Economics or a related subject.
    Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice.
    Is passionate about raising student attainment and aspiration.
    Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
    Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
