How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We're looking for a Process Design Engineer to join our Design Team and play a key role in shaping the treatment solutions that support vital water and wastewater infrastructure.

In this role, you'll contribute to the planning, development, and delivery of process designs across a variety of technical projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are effective, efficient, and compliant with regulatory and industry standards. You'll support the creation of key process documentation—such as flow diagrams, mass balances, P&IDs, and process control philosophies—while helping to drive innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

From design optimisation to participation in HAZOP studies and project reviews, you'll be central to delivering treatment solutions that perform reliably and sustainably for our clients.

Please note that the role requires you to be in the office or on site at least 3 times a week.

You'll thrive in a collaborative team environment, be confident contributing to technical discussions, and bring both curiosity and a proactive mindset to every challenge.

    Experience

3–5 years of experience in process engineering, ideally within the water or wastewater sector.

Experience working on treatment plants or similar process-driven infrastructure.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-driven approach.

Effective communicator able to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Well-organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing tasks independently.

Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in both technical and project-focused environments.

Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.

Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry standards.

    Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
