How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Teaching Assistant - All Age SEND School
    Near Ely, Cambridgeshire

    TimePlan Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school near Ely. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people across a range of age groups with a variety of additional needs.

    The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment where staff are committed to helping every student thrive both academically and socially.

    The Role:

    Supporting pupils across all age groups within the classroom and on a 1:1 basis
    Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons
    Supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and complex needs
    Helping to promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
    Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
    Assisting with personal care where required

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Previous experience working within a SEND school or supporting children with additional needs
    A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    The ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
    A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
