How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Do you have a passion for working with children?

Are you looking for more flexibility across your working week?

Can you build rapport quickly with pupils and staff?

If yes, I'd love to hear from you! I am recruiting for Teaching Assistants to cover short and long term bookings in our welcoming partner Primary Schools in and around Newmarket.

Supply work suits around YOUR availability! You are in full control of your working diary, and can update your availability as appropriate using our efficient booking system. This has proven ideal for those with prior childcare arrangements in place and or those who are generally looking for part time/a day here or there.

Long term bookings will see you working at a friendly school for a set duration of time and days per week, depending on their needs. Interviews and trial days would be arranged to ensure that the school is a good fit for you on a long term basis - we make sure that you feel comfortable!

Qualifications are not essential, but experience working with children/young people is required.

Benefits of working with Randstad Education as a Teaching Assistant:

    * £95 - £105 per day (depending on qualifications and experience)

    * A 'Refer-a-Friend' scheme where you could have a chance of earning £300 in vouchers for every person you recommend
    * Flexibility - you can choose when you'd like to work.

    * A friendly and approachable consultant to guide you through your journey with Randstad

    * Career and progression opportunities to develop your experience and knowledge further

Here are the responsibilities of the job:

    * You will be supporting the teacher with lessons and behaviour management

    * You must safeguard children

    * You will communicate effectively with children, staff, parents and carers where required

    * You will be engaging students in learning to keep them on task

    * You must adapt your support depending on the needs of the child - every child is different!

    Requirements for the job:

    * An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)

    * At least 6 months experience working with children

    * Eligibility to work in the UK

    * A true passion to work with children

    * Able to display sensitivity and patience

Still sounds like the opportunity for you? Click Apply today!

You can always get in touch with me on (phone number removed) and ask for Nina, or email to express your interest, skills and experience
