How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Cheriva Group is recruiting for an established, independent accountancy practice based in South West London, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality audit, accounting, and advisory services. The firm operates with a close-knit team structure while serving a diverse client base ranging from owner-managed businesses to mid-sized entities across multiple sectors.

    The Role

    We are seeking a fully qualified Audit Senior to join our client's growing audit team. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced auditor who is confident leading assignments, managing junior staff, and delivering technically strong audit work.

    This is not a portfolio management role at this stage, but offers clear progression for the right individual.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion

    * Prepare and review audit files in line with UK auditing standards

    * Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior team members

    * Liaise with clients on-site and remotely, building strong working relationships

    * Identify and resolve technical audit and accounting issues

    * Assist managers and partners with the delivery of assignments

    * Ensure deadlines and budgets are met across engagements

    * Support continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies

    Requirements

    * ACA / ACCA fully qualified (or equivalent)

    * Strong audit experience within a UK accountancy practice

    * Proven experience leading audits and supervising staff

    * Technically strong with a solid understanding of UK GAAP and auditing standards

    * Confident communicator with the ability to build client relationships

    * Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple assignments
