How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Operations

    Hardware/Telecommunications/high growth engineering environment. World class company

    Overview

    This Head of Manufacturing Operations role will be the engine room of the business, responsible for Production and Supply Chain, Customer Support, IT and Compliance. The company is a world class technology business, they have an excellent reputation and it is a fantastic place to work.

    The Role

    Reporting directly to the COO and based in the office, a summary of the four pillars of the role is as follows:

    * Supply chain & Production – Oversee the end to end lifecycles, from procurement and manufacturing to the global shipping of thousands of devices annually

    * Customer Support – Lead the small technical support team to deliver customer excellence, ensuring seamless onboarding and proactive in-life support

    * IT – Empower the team with the tools they need to stay productive. You’ll own the ISO27001 certification and responsibility for digital security

    * Facilities & Compliance – Act as guardian of quality and safety standards, maintaining ISO9001 and ISO45001.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for a builder who thrives when turning ambiguity into order. You’ll likely have a background in hardware, telecommunications, or a high growth engineering environment. A summary of the key requirements are as follows:

    * Proven Leadership – A track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams in a fast paced SME or scale up environment

    * Operational Rigour – Attention to detail, building strong rigorous processes and with experience of ISO standards and compliance

    * Problem Solver – You don’t just fix the problem, you build the system that prevents it from happening again

    * Resilience & Adaptability – Comfortable navigating the complexities of global supply chains and shifting business priorities

    * Communication – Ability to translate complex operational data into clear insights for the executive team
