How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer

    Avonmouth
    Up to £53,000
    Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days and nights

    The Opportunity

    We're currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site based in Avonmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team within a fast-paced environment, where you'll play a key role in ensuring site reliability and driving continuous improvement.

    With a salary of up to £53,000, this role offers excellent earning potential alongside long-term stability and career development.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across site equipment
    Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and efficiently to minimise downtime
    Work on a range of systems including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels
    Support continuous improvement projects to enhance machine reliability and efficiency
    Assist with equipment installations and upgrades
    Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
    Accurately complete maintenance records using CMMSAbout You

    Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment
    Strong fault-finding skills on electrical systems and controls
    Experience with PLCs (fault finding preferable)
    Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
    A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
