HGV Technician

Join our client’s reputable commercial vehicle team as an HGV Technician in Gloucester. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled and experienced HGV technicians seeking a role with significant development prospects, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment. Our client, a leading dealer group with multiple centres across Southwest England, is looking for a dedicated HGV Technician to join their busy workshop in Gloucester.

* Competitive hourly rate of £20-£23, based on experience and shift pattern
* Rotating early and late shifts from Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings paid as overtime

Duties:
* Carry out all service and maintenance work to the highest standards within manufacturer timeframes
* Conduct accurate diagnosis and repairs of all malfunctions
* Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations
* Document diagnostics, repairs, services, and safety inspections thoroughly
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations
* Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship
* Work effectively within a busy workshop environment, supporting the team to achieve targets
Requirements:
* Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
* Several years’ post-qualification experience as an HGV technician
* Strong diagnostic skills and ability to perform complex repairs
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced workshop
* Good team player with a professional approach to customer service
* Motivated to achieve targets and maintain high standards
* Individuals with an active HGV driving licence will be highly advantageous but are not essential
