How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Year 2 Teacher – Brent

    Location: Brent, North West London
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

A warm, welcoming, and forward-thinking mainstream primary school in Brent is seeking a passionate and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within Key Stage 1 in a school that values high-quality teaching, creativity, collaboration, and staff wellbeing.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and close-knit school community where pupils are encouraged to become confident, curious learners and staff are genuinely valued and supported in their professional growth.

    About the School

Our school is a one-form entry, mainstream primary school in Brent, providing high-quality education from Reception to Year 6. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

As a smaller school, we benefit from a close and collaborative staff culture where everyone works together to create positive learning experiences for pupils. Staff are supported by approachable and caring senior leaders who place a strong emphasis on wellbeing, professional development, and maintaining a positive work-life balance.

Pupils at the school are enthusiastic, polite, and eager to learn, and the curriculum is designed to encourage creativity, independence, and confidence both inside and outside of the classroom.

    Staff benefit from:
    • A welcoming and supportive team environment
    • Engaged and well-behaved pupils who enjoy learning
    • A collaborative culture where ideas and achievements are shared
    • Strong leadership support and regular professional development opportunities
    • Well-resourced classrooms and excellent teaching support
    • A school community that values inclusion, creativity, and pupil wellbeing
    • Clear progression pathways and opportunities for career development

We are committed to ensuring all staff feel valued, empowered, and supported throughout their careers.

    About the Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:
    • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across the curriculum
    • Support pupils in developing strong literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject skills
    • Prepare pupils effectively for Key Stage 1 expectations and statutory assessments
    • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure all children reach their potential
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
    • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
    • Use a range of teaching strategies to support different learning needs and abilities
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders
    • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
    • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events

This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 1 education and enjoys creating engaging learning experiences where children feel motivated, supported, and excited to learn.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
    • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
    • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
    • High expectations for pupil progress and behaviour
    • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
    • A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development
    • A positive, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching
    • Someone who can build warm and positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
    • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

    What the School Offers

    • A supportive and approachable leadership team
    • A collaborative and welcoming staff culture
    • Clear progression pathways and opportunities for career development
    • Ongoing CPD and professional development opportunities
    • A positive, inclusive, and well-structured working environment
    • A school committed to ensuring all staff feel supported, valued, and empowered

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Year 2 Teacher to join a thriving one-form entry school in Brent from September 2026, where both pupils and staff are encouraged to flourish.

If you are passionate about teaching Key Stage 1 and want to work in a supportive, nurturing, and forward-thinking school community, we would love to hear from you
