How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Reeson Education are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic English Teacher to work in a supportive and inclusive school environment in Rotherham (S62). This role is ideal for a resilient and creative teacher who can deliver high-quality English lessons while maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment.

    About the English Teacher Role:
    As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing students' literacy skills, communication abilities, and confidence in English Language and Literature.

    Key Responsibilities as English Teacher:

    Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
    Literacy Development: Support students in developing reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
    Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to maintain an effective learning environment.
    Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods where necessary.
    Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to support student achievement and development.To succeed as an English Teacher, you will need:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
    Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
