How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Bodyshop Technician or Paint Sprayer looking to advance your career within a leading automotive retailer? Our client, a nationally recognised automotive vehicle retailer, is seeking a skilled Bodyshop Technician / Paint Sprayer to join their busy service team in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, state-of-the-art bodyshop environment, offering competitive pay, ongoing training, and clear career progression.

    Benefits:

    Basic salary up to £38,000, with OTE approximately £45,000 (uncapped earning potential)
    Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with a half-hour lunch break
    Alternating Saturdays as part of a rota, with time off in lieu

    Repairing vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and repair procedures

    Conducting road tests to ensure all faults are rectified effectively
    Preparing and completing all necessary documentation accurately and efficiently
    Assisting in vehicle diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs when requiredRequirements of a Bodyshop Technician:

    Experience as a Bodyshop Technician or Paint Sprayer, with involvement in accident or cosmetic repairs
    Relevant qualifications, or proof of competency in vehicle body repairs and painting
    Good understanding of manufacturer procedures and quality standards
    Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
    Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
