HGV Technician

Our client, a reputable commercial dealership based in Bedford, is seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join their state-of-the-art workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV technicians to work within a leading industry dealership known for its commitment to excellence and professional development. The successful individual will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest standards.

Ongoing technical training, including electrical, diagnostics, E-Mobility, and EV systemsDuties of a HGV Technician:
Conduct scheduled servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on HGVs in accordance with manufacturer standards
Diagnose and rectify faults using modern diagnostic equipment and techniques
Perform safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and accurately
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Support team members to optimise workshop operations
Keep detailed and accurate records of all work carried outRequirements:
Fully qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
Proven experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
A proactive, team-oriented attitude
Valid UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
