How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role will involve providing 1:1 tuition in pupils' homes and community settings, supporting children who may be unable to access their usual school placement or who require additional support with their learning, confidence and engagement.

We are particularly interested in hearing from tutors who can support pupils with English, Maths and general primary curriculum learning. The role would suit teachers, tutors or education professionals who are confident working with primary-aged children and able to provide patient, engaging and personalised support.

    The role will involve:

Providing 1:1 tuition to primary-aged pupils
Planning and delivering engaging, personalised sessions
Supporting pupils with English, Maths and wider primary curriculum learning
Helping children build confidence, routine and positive learning habits
Adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs
Supporting pupils who may have barriers to learning or need a more personalised approach
Working closely with Quantum Scholars and relevant professionals to support each pupil's progress

We are looking for tutors who:

Have experience teaching, tutoring or supporting primary-aged pupils
Can deliver English and Maths confidently at primary level
Are patient, reliable and able to build positive relationships with children
Can provide engaging, structured and nurturing tuition
Are able to adapt sessions to suit individual learning needs and abilities
Have experience supporting pupils who may need additional academic or pastoral support
Are comfortable working in homes and community-based environments

Experience in Alternative Provision, SEND, SEMH support, behaviour support, mentoring, or re-engagement work would be highly desirable.

    What Quantum Scholars can offer:

    Flexible tutoring opportunities
    Competitive rates of pay
Support from an experienced education recruitment team
Clear communication and ongoing support throughout your placement
A rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children who need additional support

This is an excellent opportunity for primary teachers, tutors or education professionals who are passionate about helping children re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes
