How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant

    Location: Sheffield

    Salary: £28-33,000 DOE

    About the company:

    An award-winning multidisciplinary architecture and urban design practice based in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its growing team. The studio delivers a diverse range of projects across the residential, mixed-use, commercial and regeneration sectors, with a strong emphasis on design quality, sustainability and contextual architecture. Working within a collaborative and design-led environment, the successful candidate will contribute to projects from concept design through to technical delivery using BIM and Revit-based workflows.

    Assisting with the design and delivery of projects across multiple sectors
    Producing planning, tender and construction drawing packages
    Developing Revit models and BIM documentation
    Preparing presentation materials, visuals, and design reports
    Coordinating information with consultants and wider project teams

    Supporting project architects with technical detailing and project delivery
    Working across projects at varying scales and stagesIdeal Candidate

    RIBA Part 2 qualified with several years of UK-based professional experience
    Strong design, technical and presentation skills
    Good working knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
    Proficient in Revit with BIM workflow experience preferred
    Experience working on residential or mixed-use schemes advantageous
    Excellent communication and organisational abilities
    Confident working both independently and collaboratively
    Enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about high-quality architecture
    Candidates already based locally within Sheffield or the surrounding region would be preferred
