How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a well-established organisation in the automotive industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Junior Claims Warranty Assessor to become a vital part of their expanding repairs team based in Reading, Berkshire.

    This is an excellent opportunity for motivated professionals with a background in automotive service or technical roles to progress their career within a dynamic environment. The Junior Claims Warranty Assessor will play a crucial part in assessing warranty repair requests, liaising with workshops and customers, and ensuring technical and procedural accuracy.

    Benefits:

    Up to £27,500 basic salary with a £34,100 OTE
    Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
    One Saturday every four weeks, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
    22 days holiday plus bank holidays

    Well-established warranty provider with career progression opportunitiesDuties as the Junior Claims Warranty Assessor:

    Assess warranty repair requests using our in-house software systems
    Communicate with workshops and customers via telephone, email, and internal systems
    Process inbound and outbound calls efficiently as the Junior Claims Warranty Assessor
    Review diagnosis costs and causes for mechanical and electrical component failures
    Verify parts and labour costs, sourcing refurbished or reconditioned parts when appropriate
    Process customer contributions towards repairs
    Ensure compliance with warranty cover levels and company procedures
    Maintain GDPR compliance in all customer and company interactions
    Support the team with additional duties as reasonably assignedRequirements:

    Automotive or mechanical background, e.g., service advisor, technician, engineer, or service technician
    Proven experience in customer service with excellent communication skills
    Knowledge of warranty procedures and claims processing
    Familiarity with CRM systems and industry software
    Ability to manage repairs efficiently and accurately as a Junior Claims Warranty Assessor
    Organised, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities
