The School & Role
A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a committed Primary Class Teacher to join their KS1 team from September 2026.
The school has a strong reputation for its nurturing ethos, inclusive approach and focus on developing confident, independent learners. Staff work closely together across key stages, with shared planning and clear curriculum structures helping to create a supportive teaching environment.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS into more formal learning. There is a strong emphasis on phonics, early literacy and building positive classroom routines from the start of the academic year.
Leadership is approachable and highly visible within the school, with a strong focus on staff wellbeing, professional development and collaborative practice.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging KS1 lessons
Supporting phonics, reading, writing and maths development
Creating a positive and structured classroom environment
Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
Working closely with KS1 colleagues and support staff
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:
Holds QTS with recent UK primary teaching experience
Has strong knowledge of KS1 and phonics
Demonstrates effective classroom management
Is organised, reflective and proactive
